Called To Serve? Nominations Are Open!
The Nominating Committee has begun its search for members to serve in the ordained roles of Ruling Elder and Deacon. Members are invited to prayerfully consider who God may be calling to serve, including recommending another church member or submitting their own name. Nominations may be submitted online using this form or by using a nomination card placed in the Nominating Committee boxes in the Narthex or Gathering Room, or in Shona Talbert’s church mailbox. The firm deadline for nominations is October 25, 2026. To get information on the roles and available openings, select the flyer on the left.
Please join the Nominating Committee in praying for wisdom, discernment, and God’s guidance throughout this important process.
Nursery Caregivers Needed!
Topsail Presbyterian Church is looking for responsible, caring adults & teenagers to join our nursery and childcare team. Caregivers will help provide a safe, loving, and welcoming environment for our youngest church members while their parents participate in worship and other church activities. This is a paid position. Volunteers Needed
Each Sunday, we share a meal together at our Youth Group meeting. This fall, we are looking for volunteers to prepare a meal one Sunday each month. Volunteers will provide an entrée and dessert, while complementary sides and drinks will be provided.
Meals can be dropped off at the Youth Building between 5:15 and 5:30 p.m.

Stewardship Minute for Ministry
Our church's digital ministry is an important way to worship, communicate, and connect with our congregation and our broader community. Through livestreaming and A/V support, our website and social media, and the technology that keeps our systems running, our digital ministry helps tell the story of Topsail Presbyterian and extend our ministry beyond the walls of the church.
To continue supporting and developing these ministries, we are seeking volunteers to join our Digital Ministry Team. There are many ways to serve, including helping with Sunday A/V and livestreaming, taking
photographs at church events, assisting with social media, keeping website information current, and helping with computers, software, and other technology. Volunteers do not need to be technology experts. We are looking for people with an interest in the mission of our church and a willingness to learn. We can provide training, work together as a team, and find opportunities that fit different interests and schedules.
The impact of our digital ministry goes well beyond the technology itself. A livestream allows someone who is homebound, sick, or traveling to remain connected to worship. A photograph or social media post can
help members stay connected to the life of the church, and our website can provide someone who is searching for a church with their first impression of our congregation—much like a greeting at the narthex door.
Our church is blessed by the many people who share their time and talents in ways both large and small. There are opportunities to serve throughout the life of our church, and volunteers are never expected to do everything. Sometimes it simply means finding one thing you enjoy and sharing that gift with others. If digital ministry interests you, we invite you to join us. If it doesn't, we hope you will consider where your own gifts and interests might have a place in the life of our church. Together, our time and talents help make our church the welcoming and vibrant community that it is.

Welcome Robb Lapp!
We are pleased to introduce Rev. Robb Lapp as our new Interim Pastor. Robb brings nearly four decades of pastoral experience and leadership within the Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, he has served congregations in Missouri, Kansas, and North Carolina, including more than 20 years of ministry at St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. His experience spans youth and education, congregational care, membership development, and transitional ministry.
Rev. Lapp has most recently served as an interim pastor at both Southport Presbyterian Church and Wallace Presbyterian Church. A trained Stephen Minister and active leader within the presbytery, he is passionate about guiding congregations through seasons of growth and transition while nurturing strong relationships within the church community. He and his wife, Vicki, a retired educator, live in Wilmington and enjoy spending time with their two children and two young grandchildren. Read Rev. Lapp’s full bio here.
